The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Sat Feb 17, 2007, 10:36 AM
Well folks, I am not only coming up on my 2 year anniversary here at Deviantart on March 9th, and just 15 days later I will be coming upon the eve of a whole new era in my life. I will be graduating from the Guildhall on March 24th, and here it is a little over 6 weeks to go till that date.... The job search is in full swing and I have been plugging away with my portfolio but it can be discouraging when there are others already getting jobs. As to my personal life, I have been blessed to have an old love interest wander back into my life, and she has been a great support and a loving confidant. I hope to one day be a good enough man to her that she will want me to be her husband. She is my morning sunshine, my noonday shade, my warm evening breeze. Well I have entirely too much work to be doing to be sitting here blabbering on about my life and all, so I should get back to it. I really do hope I can get a job with a company I want to work for as opposed to having to settle for something second-rate. Aside from that, if anybody out there is looking for a 3D modeler for their game company, contact me through a note or something and we will talk resume`.

Oh yeah, word and props out to my peeps, switchbladeserenade, Rushy, kricky, kristyvictoria, keiross, inkrat, nevergetfooledagain, & linessa... oh yeah and Pete!

Halfway through

Boy, you know it's been awhile on the journal update when your grades on your first term of college is the last posting and you are halfway through to getting the degree you came for. Here I sit with a little over a year left to go, and it hardly seems like the last year has happened it went by so fast. One minute you're a freshman, then a middleclassman, and here I am looking at being a Senior in grad school in little over a month. With no Summer break this school is kind of weird, and there's hardly a breather in-between each of the terms. Some of the people in the class are starting to fray at the edges, myself included. Ah a vacation in the Bahamas would go a long way to assauging that feeling. Unfortunately the islands I will be visiting are a tad north and east of that particular island.... after graduation I hope to take at least a week, but am shooting for two weeks to the British Isles. Much kippers, crumpets, and haggis to be eaten, ale, lager, and stout to be drank, and strange sports named after bugs, as well as football with no pads and helmets. I am looking forward to it though, I have met some really top notch folks on the internet and can't wait to meet them all in person.

One thing I don't understand is life.... anybody with me on that one?

Well, this term's grades came in, and I just about fainted. I haven't had straight As since I was in like kindergarden or some shit. My GPA is 3.94! I even managed to do better than my sister, which amazed me even further. I am glad I have been given this great oppurtunity to make my life and my career better, and to anyone out there that thinks it's too late to go back to school and get your degree, I say, It's _never_ too late. It's also very worth it. Peace Out.

Well folks, here I sit about an 1 and a half from zero hour on "Gold" day. Which is when our games have to be ready to "ship to manufacture". We will be submitting them for reviewal for the school, family, and friends. While everyone is mulling about, we are supposed to receive our final grade of the Term for the actual 2d game. I have high hopes for my team, mainly because their grade is my grade. These first three months have gone by in a blur, and I can't remember the last time I had so much fun working so hard, but if another person asks me to do some sprites for a 2D game I am going to shoot them. Anyways, there is a big "Wrap Party" tonight after everything is all said and done, and I plan on getting muy mucho shitfaced. I would have to say that's about it for now, thanks to all those who supported me in this, and prayed for me, the support and prayers have done well I think if all goes well my total GPA is 3.9. Woohoo! yay Jasen!

Peace out and word to yo mutha's unca.

OK so here we are with one full month of Guildhall down... and I think I am fighting an uphill battle. Sooooooooooo much artwork to do, and sooooooo little time... oh yeah, and while you're at those 30 some odd drawings this weekend, study for three midterms on Monday.... oh you're tired you say? What if we break your left arm? Will that motivate you? Oh yeah, and I got in a car wreck today, and I was just sitting in the passenger seat mindin' my own damn business... ugh my neck hurts... tomorrow is gonna suck. Fuck a Monday.

Peace Out - Jasen
